Andrew Bruhelius is a composer, arranger, and music producer specializing in custom compositional suites for media and live events. He is the founder and CEO of Largosonic Productions — a boutique music production company delivering ultra-realistic string orchestra mockups for film, TV, and game composers. Over nearly three decades, Andrew has performed as a session bassist in 21+ ensembles, delivered 340+ concerts across 9 countries, co-produced 9 albums, scored 8 short films, and created over 350 minutes of music across 25+ genres.
Trained in jazz and classical piano, as well as composition in Germany, Andrew has cultivated a professional network of 190+ session musicians, composers, and mixing engineers. He holds valid work permits for the USA, Canada, Japan, and the European Union. With 26+ years of DAW software experience across Reaper, Cubase, Dorico, Ableton Live, and Logic Pro, his technical expertise spans orchestral mockup production, synth and FX automation, and cinematic sound design using an specialized template of synthesizers, sample libraries and physically modeled instruments.
Andrew has collaborated in product development and audio analysis for the sampling startup MNTRA.io, a subsidiary of La Hacienda Creative, Montréal. He has also provided digital asset management services for Tokaj Classic Winery and served as a consultant and project manager for the Quebec Ministry of Economy on Artificial Intelligence and Quantum Technology funding programs (12-month contract ending in 2021).
Beyond music, Andrew holds a PhD and has worked in academia in experimental physics (lasers), chemistry, and data science. He has led multiple research teams and managed various projects since 2010, co-authoring 10+ publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals. He also has experience in video editing using Davinci Resolve and Adobe Premiere Pro, having edited 40+ videos.
